About Optima ESG

Corporate donation with measurable social impact

Optima ESG is a Brazilian platform that organizes the connection between companies, social organizations and communities, so that surplus stops being an operating loss and becomes documented social impact and a tax benefit, with governance from start to finish.

We are a startup founded by women, combining technology and social impact. For companies taxed under Lucro Real (Brazil’s actual-profit regime), donated surplus can reduce the corporate income tax base (Law 9,249/1995), within the legal limit and subject to review by the company’s accountant. What used to be a loss supports a tax benefit, an ESG result and a dignified destination for the people who receive it.

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Optima ESG contributes to

Our work connects to these goals because it turns surplus into useful destinations, reduces waste and organizes impact that can be audited.

Tax efficiency, governance and traceability

We work with companies across the food chain, from agriculture to logistics and wholesale, to organize donation flows with less operational friction, from listing the surplus to confirming receipt.

The model combines digital coordination, prioritization by need and continuous follow-up. Companies get visibility of their impact; non-profits get more predictability.

Companies

List their surplus and follow the results.

Non-profits

Set their priorities and receive with traceability.

Ecosystem

Strengthens the partnership between impact and efficiency.

Questions about the platform, Brazilian law or our plans?

Companies, non-profits, partners, researchers and the curious: we can explain the tax benefits under Brazilian law (Law 9,249/1995, Law 15,224/2025) and how the donation and non-profit vetting process works.

Optima ESG

Surplus food, turned into documented donations.

Brazilian B2B platform for corporate food donation, with tax documentation under Brazilian law and auditable ESG measurement.

* Tax benefit of up to 30.6% of the amount donated, through Brazilian corporate income tax (IRPJ and CSLL) under Law 9,249/1995 and Complementary Law 224/2025, for companies in the actual-profit regime with annual taxable profit above R$ 240,000. Confirm with an accountant.

² Avoided landfill emissions estimated at 0.86 kg CO₂e per kg of rescued food (US EPA, 2023). The methodology is published and versioned on our methodology page. These estimates are outside the donor’s Scopes 1, 2 and 3 and are not offsets or carbon credits.
